Tatu After Eliminating Cloud9: "I think our team has a good matchup against them"
FURIA jungler Pedro "Tatu" Seixas reflected on his team's 3:1 victory over Cloud9 in the lower bracket of the Worlds 2026 Play-In. In a post-game interview, he addressed the team's previous poor performance against MVK Esports, explained why FURIA holds a favorable matchup against the North American side, and shared his thoughts on their upcoming rematch against MVK Esports.
Tatu was candid about FURIA's recent struggles against MVK Esports, admitting the team lacked cohesion and that the opponents successfully neutralized his impact during the series.
Following that disappointing result, FURIA chose to focus on controllable factors rather than dwelling on mistakes. Instead of spending the night analyzing LCK VODs or grinding solo queue until morning, the team decided to reset their mindset and approach the next day with a fresh perspective.
The team showed significantly more coordination in their 3:1 victory over Cloud9, eliminating the LCS representatives from Worlds 2026. Tatu believes FURIA has a strategic advantage against Cloud9, particularly in extended games where teams must contest major objectives. He noted that matches in the LCS often revolve around Elder Dragon or Dragon Soul fights, meaning FURIA can still win even after a slow start if they execute well in team fights.
Looking ahead, FURIA faces MVK Esports once again. Tatu recalled how the opponents targeted his bot lane in their previous encounter to limit his presence in the game. While he admitted that this strategy effectively neutralized him in the final two games, he promised that the team will return with a better plan for the rematch.
