The first week of June 2026 is a marathon of gaming announcements. Starting with PlayStation State of Play, the industry moves to the summer's main event — Summer Game Fest.
Showcase Schedule
- June 2 — PlayStation State of Play: already happened. Highlights: Marvel's Wolverine (Sept 15, PS5-only), Castlevania: Belmont's Curse, Until Dawn 2, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis.
- June 2 — Black Voices in Gaming #SummerGameFest Showcase (Twitch, 12:00 PT).
- June 5 — Summer Game Fest — the summer's main showcase. Dolby Theatre, Los Angeles. Promised to be the 'biggest SGF ever.'
- June 7 — Xbox Games Showcase + dedicated Gears of War: E-Day presentation.
Summer Game Fest (June 5)
The main show takes place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. Geoff Keighley promises approximately two hours of content with world premieres, gameplay reveals and developer appearances. Major AAA announcements and multiple surprises are expected.
Xbox Games Showcase (June 7)
The most anticipated announcement is Gears of War: E-Day. The game gets its own extended presentation immediately after the main Xbox showcase. Game Pass news and other Microsoft first-party titles are also expected.
