Soop, having previously provided exclusive coverage for OWCS in Korea, is now expanding its content reach to a global audience.
The Group Stage will kick off on August 20 in Busan and run until August 23. Sixteen nations will compete in a round-robin format across four groups. The top two teams from each group will advance to the Final Stage.
South Korea has been placed in Group D alongside teams from France, Denmark, and Colombia. The South Korean roster features Jung Yong, Chae Hee-sang, Kwon Sun-jun, Park Jun-bin, Choi Soo-min, Sung Yu-min, and Kim Seung-jun. The team is a three-time defending champion, having won the tournament consecutively from 2016 to 2018.
South Korea's Group Stage matches begin on August 21 at 6:30 PM local time. Subsequent games are scheduled for August 22 at 5:00 PM and August 23 at 12:30 AM. Teams that successfully navigate the group stage will qualify for the Final Stage, which will be held in Anaheim, California.
The Final Stage takes place as part of Blizzcon 2026 on September 12 and 13 Pacific Time. The eight qualifying nations will compete in a single-elimination tournament to determine the ultimate champion.
Soop is also preparing various interactive events for viewers. Fans can earn in-game items through official drops based on match viewing, participate in viewer missions, and engage in prediction contests for South Korea's matches.
