DN Superсs Reach KeSPA Cup Final After Defeating T1 3-1
DN Superсs, led by LCK newcomer «Shavel» Kim Danu, has secured a spot in the KeSPA Cup final after a hard-fought 3-1 victory over T1. This marks the team's first return to the grand finals since their tenure as AfriFreecs in 2019.
In a post-match interview, Kim Danu reflected on the journey: «We reached the final last time but couldn't win. This is a great opportunity to come back and take the trophy».
The match was delayed by nearly 90 minutes due to frequent chronobreaks and numerous push pauses. Kim noted the unusual length of the event: «I've never seen so many delays during a tournament. It was very tough, but we tried our best to stay focused».
Looking ahead to the final against Nongshim RedForce, Kim expressed confidence based on their regular-season history: «We have played Nongshim a lot in the league, so I think if we play well tomorrow, we can definitely win». He also thanked the fans for their support and promised to celebrate with them after securing the title.
