Seven Clubs Exit Dota 2 Scene in the Last Six Months
The professional Dota 2 scene has seen significant shifts over the last six months, with seven tier-1 organizations announcing their departure, disbanding rosters, or suspending activities.
The departing organizations include BETBOOM TEAM, Team Falcons, Virtus.pro, Nigma Galaxy, Vici Gaming, HEROIC, and Tundra Esports. The clubs took different approaches to exiting the discipline: some completely shut down operations, while others moved their rosters to inactive status or took an indefinite hiatus. Notably, Tundra Esports announced a complete shutdown of its Dota 2 operations.
BETBOOM TEAM was the most recent to announce a suspension of performances. Although the organization initially intended to compete with its current roster until at least December 2026, recent tournament results have impacted their future plans.
