SAW: Genesis delayed to early 2027
The early access launch for the 3v1 multiplayer horror game SAW: Genesis, based on the SAW film series, has been pushed back to the first quarter of 2027. The title is being developed by Bloober Team for PC via Steam.
According to the development team, the delay is intended to prioritize quality. The developers aim to refine the experience to ensure it meets the high expectations of the franchise's fanbase.

Set in the era following World War I, the game features a confrontation between an organizer following Jigsaw's philosophy and three participants trapped in a deadly game. The gameplay revolves around a 3v1 dynamic: the organizer seeks to correct humanity through pain and sacrifice, while the participants strive to escape the facility.

As the organizer, players will influence the game indirectly by activating traps, inducing hallucinations with gas, or using paralytic toxins. The goal is to force participants into life-or-death dilemmas rather than simple killing. On the other side, the three survivors must cooperate to find keys and overcome obstacles within procedurally generated maps. A core mechanic involves physical consequences: losing a limb will impact gameplay, such as slowing movement or making puzzles and combat more difficult.
