Rumor: Corrode and Bind to Replace Ascent and Split in VALORANT
According to an X post from insider valohabercisi, Corrode and Bind are rumored to return to the VALORANT competitive map pool during the sixth act of the 2026 season. They are expected to replace the current maps, Ascent and Split.
If these reports are accurate, the upcoming rotation will effectively reverse the changes made earlier this year. Bind has been absent from ranked matches since April 28, when it was replaced by Ascent. This means Ascent will leave the active rotation after a five-month stint.
The departure of Split would mark the end of a nearly year-long tenure. The map was added to the pool on October 14, 2025, alongside Pearl, following the removal of Lotus and Ascent.
For players looking forward to Corrode, this would be the first opportunity to play the map in ranked matches in several months. Corrode was removed from the competitive pool on March 17 in update 12.05, alongside Abyss, as Lotus and Fracture entered the rotation.
