JBa: "I feel really confident about the Major, our whole season has been really good"
Despite a mixed run in Katowice, Joshua "JBa" Barutt feels confident about M80's chances at the upcoming PGL Singapore Major. The team's journey at ESL Pro League Season 24 ended with a fifth-round loss in the Swiss Stage against Spirit.
In an interview with Dust2 Brasil, conducted by Beatriz "hera" Silva, JBa discussed the team's performance and their outlook for the next major event. According to the player, M80 showed a solid level of play, even though their only victories during the event came against TYLOO and Legacy (playing without Andrei "arT" Piovezan-less).
Reflecting on the series against Spirit, JBa noted that they had a fighting chance on Cache, where several lost 3v5 and 2v5 situations could have changed the outcome. While the team struggled on Mirage during this event, going 0-3, the player maintains that it remains one of their strongest maps once they iron out the details through practice.
Looking ahead to the PGL Singapore Major, JBa expressed significant confidence, citing the team's consistent performance in tier-two and online tournaments throughout the season. To prepare for the Major, M80 plans to take a short break before heading to a bootcamp in Europe to finalize their setup.
