ruggah Retires After Decade of Coaching
Casper "ruggah" Due has officially retired from coaching after more than ten years in Counter-Strike. The 38-year-old Dane made the announcement on September 7, 2026, following a period without a team after his departure from Astralis.
Due stepped away from Astralis earlier this year after the team's poor performance at the Cologne Major. He was subsequently replaced by NEO and spent the summer without a new organization before finalizing his decision to leave the coaching role entirely.
His career spanned several major organizations, including stints at Dignitas, North, OpTic, and OG. An EPICENTER title with Dignitas remains one of the clearest highlights of his tenure. He concluded his career at Astralis, where he spent his final chapter in the sport.
The retirement announcement came one day after the conclusion of BLAST Open Fall, an event where Due worked as a pundit. In his statement, he expressed gratitude to everyone who shared the journey with him, noting that it had been "one hell of a ride."
