Riot Games to Launch Team Voice in League of Legends with Patch 26.20

Riot Games is set to introduce Team Voice in League of Legends starting with patch 26.20, a feature designed to enhance coordination for pre-made groups.

The new system expands existing voice chat capabilities by enabling communication with all teammates regardless of how they were grouped before the match began. Initial testing will launch in NA and OCE, with plans to expand to Korea, Latin America, and Brazil if successful.

Riot has implemented technical improvements including improved noise suppression, faster connections, and added voice skins that allow players to change their audio tone while maintaining clarity during team fights. These enhancements will also benefit the existing voice chat for pre-made teams.

Access to Team Voice is tied to a player's Honor level. Accounts with an Honor level below three will be restricted from speaking but can still listen to their teammates, ensuring that team coordination is maintained even when individual users face restrictions. Riot continues to refine the Honor system to better reflect in-game behavior.

Developers shared these details during the latest League of Legends Dev Update video, marking a significant step forward for competitive communication within the game.
