Phantom Blade Zero requires 300GB of free space for installation
If you are planning to install Phantom Blade Zero, you might need to clear out a significant portion of your SSD first. Developer S-Game has released the system requirements, revealing that a total of 300GB of free space is needed for the installation process.
The storage requirement explained
The massive 300GB requirement is due to the way the game handles its installation. According to S-Game, temporary files and the complete game files must coexist on the drive during the unlock process. Once the installation is finalized, the actual footprint of the game will drop to approximately 145GB.

The developers also suggest avoiding installation on the system drive (C:) to prevent disk activity from impacting frame rate stability. Interestingly, the developer's guide for freeing up space suggests using Task Manager to check the disk, though this utility only displays total capacity and access frequency rather than available free space.
System Requirements Overview
The hardware requirements themselves are relatively modest, provided you utilize upscaling technologies:
- Minimum: Intel Core i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600, 16GB RAM, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 or AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT. This targets 1080p / 30fps with upscaling enabled and ray tracing disabled.
- Recommended: Intel Core i5-10600K or AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, 16GB RAM, Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT. This targets 1440p / 60fps with upscaling enabled and ray tracing disabled.
A key technical detail for entry-level users: since the minimum requirement includes the GTX 1660, which lacks Tensor cores, those players will be unable to use DLSS and must rely on AMD's FSR for upscaling.
