Phantom Blade Zero Launches with DLSS 4.5 and Path Tracing Support
Phantom Blade Zero from S-GAME is officially launching today. The title features full support for NVIDIA technologies, including DLSS 4.5, Ray Tracing, and Path Tracing, available on GeForce RTX GPUs and RTX Spark devices.
Lighting and Visual Fidelity in Phantom Blade Zero
Phantom Blade Zero utilizes a comprehensive lighting suite. When Path Tracing is enabled, the game employs ReSTIR GI (Reservoir-based Spatiotemporal Importance Resampling Global Illumination) to replace Unreal Engine's hardware-accelerated Lumen Global Illumination. This implementation provides more accurate bounced lighting, color bleeding between surfaces, and more detailed indirect shadowing and occlusion.

To maintain high visual fidelity under heavy Path Tracing workloads, the game supports DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction. This neural rendering technique replaces traditional hand-tuned denoisers with an AI-driven model that reconstructs sharper and more stable high-resolution images by analyzing temporal and spatial data.
Performance and DLSS 4.5 Capabilities
To boost frame rates, the game introduces Dynamic Multi Frame Generation. This feature allows players to activate up to 6x Frame Generation or adjust the multiplier on the fly to hit a specific target frame rate. NVIDIA states that GeForce RTX 5090 owners can achieve up to a 9x increase in frame rates using a fixed 6x multiplier. At maximum settings with Path Tracing enabled, performance reaches up to 320 FPS on GeForce RTX 5090 and up to 240 FPS on GeForce RTX 5080.

Other Updates and RTX Remix
Alongside the launch, NVIDIA announced several software and game updates:

- NVIDIA RTX Remix 1.6: Now includes support for DLSS 3D-Guided Neural Rendering, alongside upgraded DLSS Ray Reconstruction and DLSS Frame Generation in the Half-Life 2 RTX and Portal with RTX demos. A beta RTX Remix mod for Minecraft: Java Edition has also been released.
- Metro 2033 Redux and Metro: Last Light Redux: Free updates have been released, adding audio and visual enhancements and DLSS Super Resolution support.
- The Blood of Dawnwalker: Can now be upgraded to DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution and Dynamic Multi Frame Generation via the NVIDIA App.
- Additional updates: The Boss Gangster: Criminal Empire now supports DLSS Super Resolution, and Killing Floor 3: Halloween Horrors has received a DLSS update.
