PC Game Pass on Linux: Nexus improves Steam Deck support
Linux users have gained a more streamlined way to access their Microsoft libraries. The open-source launcher Xodus Nexus has released version 0.3.8, which brings optimized controller navigation to the Steam Deck and other SteamOS handhelds. This provides a local alternative for playing PC Game Pass and Microsoft Store titles without relying on cloud streaming.
Enhanced Controller Navigation and UI
The latest update focuses heavily on the user experience for handheld users. According to the Xodus Nexus developer, the new version introduces improved menu navigation: the A button now allows users to launch installed games directly from the interface, while the B button functions similarly to SteamOS by returning users to the library view. It is important to note, however, that support for Steam Deck's Game Mode and these specific navigation features are currently labeled as experimental.

Other notable improvements in this release include:
- Integration of Xbox achievements, playtime, and recent activity.
- Game pages now feature screenshots, categories, and descriptions.
- Improved handling of licensing errors and profile loading after connection issues.
- An option to keep or delete downloaded files when canceling an installation.
