Parus: No LEC team is unbeatable
After Natus Vincere secured a spot in the LEC Summer Playoffs with a 2-1 victory over GIANTX, support Polat “Parus” Furkan Çiçek assessed the team’s standing. He believes the gap to the league’s top squads is closeable and that Worlds remains a realistic objective.
Parus acknowledged that G2 Esports and Karmine Corp currently hold the highest level of play in the league. However, he rejected the notion that these teams are untouchable, noting that every squad in the LEC is making enough mistakes to be defeated. He pointed to recent official matches where even top teams struggled, emphasizing that no opponent is playing at an unbeatable standard.
Looking ahead to the best-of-five stage, Parus highlighted the team’s improved versatility compared to previous splits. He noted that Natus Vincere now utilizes a wider champion pool and possesses a strong early game, allowing them to punish opponents effectively. He cited recent wins in early games against Karmine Corp and G2 Esports as evidence that the team can compete with the league’s leaders if they capitalize on their leads.
The primary goal for the remainder of the season is qualification for Worlds. Parus contrasted his current confidence with his experience at BDS in 2025, stating that the current team environment and performance have significantly boosted his belief in their capabilities. Natus Vincere will enter the playoffs from the lower bracket after finishing outside the top four, aiming to navigate the final stage and secure a spot at the global tournament.
