PAL leaves Vitality following Derke’s departure
Gregor "PAL" Morton is officially leaving his position as head coach of the Vitality VALORANT roster. The move follows the previous departure of star player Nikita "Derke" Sirmitev. These changes come on the heels of Vitality’s second-place finish at VALORANT Champions 2026.
PAL joined the club in November 2025 after a stint with BBL Esports. During his year-long tenure, the team secured a spot at VALORANT Masters London 2026 (4th place), competed in EWC 2026 (5th–8th place), and achieved a career-best result by taking second place at Champions, losing 1-3 to LOUD.
Regarding the departure, the coach stated he is ready for a new adventure while remaining under contract. Vitality has not yet announced replacements for the player or coaching positions for the upcoming season. However, with a secured partnership for 2027, the club has more time to prepare and will avoid competing in the VCT EMEA Kickoff open qualifiers.
