COSMICPUP STUDIO announces open-world RPG Ordinary Oddness for PS5, Xbox Series, and PC
COSMICPUP STUDIO, a subsidiary of Tencent Games, has announced Ordinary Oddness, an open-world RPG coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC (via Steam, Epic Games Store, and WeGame). A release date has not yet been announced, but pre-registration is now available.
The game is set in Elysian Skies, a city floating above the clouds where urban legends are a fundamental part of daily life. Players take on the role of a Consulting Investigator for the Mythoids Investigation Agency (MIA). While the journey begins with mundane commissions, these cases eventually lead to uncovering the deep-seated secrets behind the coexistence of humans and Mythoids.

Developed using Unreal Engine 5, Ordinary Oddness features high-quality environments and cinematic sequences. The reveal trailer showcases seamless transitions from bustling city streets into eerie, dimension-warping locations like the Nightingale Theater or the Psycheidos Zone, where anomalies disrupt reality.

The combat system focuses on dynamic player choice and tactical depth, incorporating dodges, character switching, and combo chaining. A standout feature involves Mythoidized bosses, whose combat styles and forms are intricately tied to their unique backstories, requiring players to adapt their strategies on the fly during multi-phase encounters.
