OG reportedly heading for rebuild as cadiaN-led core faces benching
According to a report from the French outlet La Source, OG is set to undergo a major roster rebuild following a disappointing start to 2026. The organization appears to be looking toward a complete overhaul ahead of next year's two Majors.
The restructuring is expected to see Alexandre "bodyy" Pianaro step into the IGL role. Meanwhile, the core currently led by Casper "cadiaN" Møller is likely to face significant changes. Reports suggest that Luca "pr1metapz" Voigt will most likely be moved to the bench, whereas Olle "spooke" Grundström has a strong chance of remaining in the starting lineup.
This potential rebuild comes after a period of stagnation for the current iteration of OG. Since the signing of cadiaN in late 2025, the team has struggled to find consistency, currently sitting at #85 in the Valve Regional Standings (VRS). Their only notable achievement this year has been a second-place finish at the Roman Imperium Cup VI, with no S-tier LAN appearances secured to date.
Sources indicate that OG previously attempted to acquire the core of 3DMAX, but the move fell through due to interest from other organizations, including ENVY. Following the sale of Adam "adamb" Ångström to NIP, the team is left with a clear schedule and the opportunity to reset their trajectory.
