NSTLGA League Swiss R3: Marsborne and SportsBetExpert secure playoff spots
Marsborne and SportsBetExpert have secured the first two playoff spots in the NSTLGA League Season 2 Swiss System after their respective 2-0 victories in Round 3. The stage has transitioned to best-of-three series, with the remaining teams fighting for the final qualifying berths.
Marsborne defeated LAG 2-0 to reach the playoffs. The series opened on Dust2, where Marsborne established an early 5-0 lead. LAG responded with a seven-round streak to take a slight advantage into the second half. After winning the pistol and subsequent conversions, Marsborne closed out the map 13-11 following a four-round run to secure the pick.
On Inferno, LAG started strongly, but Marsborne countered with a six-round streak to enter the second half with a 7-5 lead. Despite LAG winning the second pistol and conversion, Marsborne finished the map 13-9 with a decisive 6-2 run. nicx recorded 19 kills across the series, while WUMBO posted the highest overall rating of 1.64.
SportsBetExpert closed out their 2-0 victory over Iowa Stormboar with a dominant performance. On Cache, the match was competitive in the first half, ending 5-7 in favor of Stormboar. In the second half, SportsBetExpert converted a pistol win into an eight-round streak to take the map 13-7.
The series concluded on Inferno, where SportsBetExpert controlled the first half after winning the pistol, dropping only one round to reach an 11-1 lead. They won the second pistol as well and closed the match 13-1. Peeping led the team with 24 kills and a 2.01 rating, while motm recorded 20 kills on Inferno.
