Donk: Spirit dominated MOUZ in all four maps at BLAST Open Fall 2026
Danil “donk” Kryshkovets explained why Spirit’s victory over MOUZ at BLAST Open Fall 2026 felt different from their previous encounter, crediting significant progress in team play since Boris “magixx” Vorobiev took over as captain.
Spirit claimed their second consecutive title at BLAST Open Fall 2026 by defeating MOUZ in the grand final. Danil “donk” Kryshkovets earned the tournament MVP award, edging out teammate Dmitry “sh1ro” Sokolov in the voting.
In an interview with HLTV.org, donk noted that the win served as revenge for Spirit’s loss to MOUZ in the BLAST Bounty Season 2 final. He acknowledged that the German organization had been the only team among the world’s top squads that Spirit had not yet defeated, while also admitting that MOUZ’s earlier victory was completely deserved due to their strong practice and form.
“Yes, we dominated all four maps. We simply started playing much better and improved significantly as a team — that’s all,” donk stated. He emphasized that the team has fixed many problems and made considerable progress in their collective play since the previous final.
Despite winning two championships in a row, donk is hesitant to declare that Spirit has reached its peak performance. He pointed to the upcoming ESL Pro League Season 24 in Katowice as the real test of their consistency. “The hardest part about being at the top is staying there,” he said, adding that the team’s result at the next tournament will determine how they assess their current level.
donk also explained why he rarely participates in the symbolic lifting of the trophy after victories, stating that he simply enjoys watching his teammates’ emotions more.
