Mina the Hollower is out today on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. It's the new project from Yacht Club Games — the studio behind Shovel Knight.
What Is Mina the Hollower
Mina the Hollower is a gothic action-platformer with metroidvania elements. The protagonist — young engineer Mina — explores a grim underground world. The studio positioned it as a spiritual successor to Game Boy Color aesthetics. Pixel art in a portable style combined with modern game design is Yacht Club's signature approach.
Why It Matters
Yacht Club built its reputation on Shovel Knight (2014) — one of the most successful indie games of its era. Mina the Hollower is the studio's first new IP in years. Full reviews and editorial coverage to follow after completion.
