MSI has announced the Prestige N16 Flip AI+, a new 2-in-1 laptop built to handle local AI agents and Large Language Models (LLMs). Powered by the "Nvidia" RTX Spark platform, the device features up to 128GB of unified LPDDR5x memory, enabling the execution of AI models with up to 120 billion parameters directly on the device.

AI-Centric Architecture

The core of the Prestige N16 Flip AI+ is the Nvidia N1X processor, which utilizes the Blackwell graphics architecture and a Grace Arm CPU. This setup is designed to reduce latency and enhance data privacy by running complex agentic AI workflows locally rather than in the cloud. MSI claims the system can deliver up to 1 petaflop of FP4 AI performance.

The N1X processor is available in two variants: an 18-core Arm CPU with 5,120 CUDA cores or a 20-core Arm CPU with 6,144 CUDA cores. While the latter matches the CUDA core count of a desktop Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070, there is a significant difference in power consumption. While the desktop card operates at a 250W budget, the N1X shares a 45W–80W limit between the CPU and GPU. Consequently, a desktop RTX 5070 will outperform the N1X in tasks that do not rely on the massive 128GB unified memory pool.

Display and Versatility

Thanks to its 360° hinge, the device can transition between laptop, tent, and tablet modes. Users can choose between two 16-inch OLED panels:

  • A UHD+ (3840×2400) Tandem OLED panel
  • A 2.8K (2880×1800) OLED panel

Both displays feature a 120Hz refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3 color coverage, and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 1000 certification. The device also includes touchscreen support and a bundled stylus.

Connectivity and Pricing

The hardware includes a 1TB Gen 4 NVMe SSD, a 99Wh battery, and Wi-Fi 7 support. For connectivity, it offers two USB 4 Type-C ports (supporting Thunderbolt 4, DP Alt mode, and Power Delivery), two USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, an HDMI 2.1 output, and an SD card reader.

The MSI Prestige N16 Flip AI+ is available in three memory configurations: 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB. Pricing in the UK starts at £3,099 for the 32GB model, £4,099 for the 64GB version, and £6,499 for the 128GB flagship configuration.
