『文字遊戯』PS5 Version Released: A World Made of Text
Flyhigh Works has launched the PlayStation 5 version of the text adventure 'Monogatari Shugi'. Players control a character named 'I' in a world where buildings and weapons are composed entirely of characters.
Studio Flyhigh Works has launched the PlayStation 5 version of the text adventure 『文字遊戯』 (Monogatari Shugi) on the platform. The game is available starting August 20, 2026.
In this "new text adventure," players control a character named "I" to save a world composed entirely of text. Gameplay revolves around manipulating characters: finding exits through "doors," changing the unclear to the clear, or combining and separating words to overcome obstacles.
The project has won awards at BitSummit and TGS 2025 (Best Game Design Award), and took first place in the Shigehiro Yamada Electric Indie Grand Prize 2026. The PlayStation 5 version is a Japanese localization of the original Chinese version, containing only Japanese content.
The game costs 3630 yen (tax included). It supports single-player gameplay and falls under the genre of new text adventure.
