Midnight Season 2 is Now Live in World of Warcraft
World of Warcraft has officially begun Midnight Season 2. From Blizzard Entertainment, the update brings a new raid, Venomous Abyss, a fresh Mythic+ dungeon rotation including Altar of Fangs, and enhanced rewards for PvP participants.
New Content and Unlock Schedule
The season launched on August 18. Players now have access to the new raid Venomous Abyss, which unlocks progressively over several weeks. The Mythic+ dungeon rotation has also been updated, featuring the new instance Altar of Fangs alongside locations from Battle for Azeroth and Dragonflight.
In the PreyThe Ring of Glory and Gnarldor Isle, and face new world bosses in instanced encounters called Lairs.
Mythic+ Dungeon Rewards
Completing dungeons in this season unlocks unique titles and legendary mounts. For example, the Midnight Keystone Conqueror: Season 2 achievement requires a Mythic+ rating of at least 1500 and grants the title “the Venomous”. Ratings of 2000 and 3000 unlock the mounts Breath of Blight and Breath of Ruin, respectively.
Venomous Abyss Raid: Rewards and Achievements
The raid offers unique armor sets for all classes, including Death Knight, Demon Hunter, Druid, and others. Defeating the boss Ula'tek in Mythic difficulty grants the title “Famed Slayer of Ula'tek” and the legendary mount Primeval Skyfriend. Argent, Gleaming, and Aureate trophies are also available for base decoration.
PvP Season: New Ranks and Rewards
The second PvP season introduces new titles and equipment. Players can earn mounts like Venomous Gladiator's Goredrake, along with unique items for each rank—from Combatant I to Gladiator. Special attention is given to Solo Shuffle and Battleground Blitz, where achievements unlock special badges and titles.
