League of Legends Patch 26.20 Preview: Final Worlds Update Targets Pro Play Meta
The League of Legends Patch 26.20 preview has been revealed. As the final update before Worlds 2026, Riot Games aims to fine-tune the professional meta through targeted adjustments without causing major disruptions in Solo Queue.
Developers stated they are satisfied with the current competitive meta following the playoffs. Consequently, the update avoids massive overhauls, focusing instead on specific champions and items that have become too prominent in professional play. Key system changes include nerfs to the ranged versions of Rocketbelt, Experimental Hexplate, and Runaan's Hurricane.
Regarding champions, Ambessa, Cassiopeia, and K'Sante are slated for nerfs. Conversely, Lucian is set to regain some power following recent adjustments, and Vayne will receive compensation for her previous top-lane nerf. Sylas will undergo a reshaped adjustment intended to strengthen his mid-lane performance without significantly impacting his jungle viability.

- Buffs: Diana, Fiddlesticks, Kennen, Kindred, Lucian, Mordekaiser, Neeko, Smolder, Swain (mid), Tahm Kench (support), and Vayne (bot).
- Nerfs: Ambessa, Cassiopeia, K'Sante, Yunara, and Varus.
- Adjustments: Sylas.
