Kiun DRX undergoes major Valorant roster restructuring
Kiun DRX has announced a large-scale restructuring of its Valorant division. The move results in the departure of 10 members, including coaching staff and players from both the main and academy rosters.
The organization confirmed it is parting ways with coach Termi (Pyeon Seon-ho), coach Argenzi (Kwon Soon-woo), coach OD (Jeong Jin-myeong), and players Mako (Kim Myung-kwan), Vane (Kang Ha-bin), Freezing (Noh Ha-jun), Hyunmin (Song Hyun-min), Kaira (Park Jae-yong), Apex (Lee Chan-min), and Crex (Shin Jae-young). Following this overhaul, only coach Glow (Kim Min-su) and players Yong (Kim Ho-yong) and Flicker (Yoon Tae-hee) remain in the starting lineup.
The decision follows a challenging year for the organization. After a strong showing at last year's Valorant Champions in Paris, where they finished 3rd, the team struggled in the current season, failing to qualify for international events and finishing low in the VCT Pacific standings. The situation was further complicated by Kiun DRX being excluded from the VCT Partnership program. The organization stated that the restructuring is a necessary step to ensure the team's continued participation in Valorant esports and thanked the departing members for their professional contributions.
