Keeping Up With Star Rail — Rin Tohsaka: How to Use Smartphones in the Space Age | Honkai: Star Rail
HoYoverse has published a new episode of the Keeping Up With Star Rail series for Honkai: Star Rail. In this installment, Rin Tohsaka joins two friends to explore modern technologies available even in the space age.
The story begins with account registration. A gray-haired youth explains to Rin: "The first step to registering an account is setting a password." A young man in red adds that the next step involves entering personal information.
The teenage girl reacts with shock at the requirement to input her real name, contact details, and even scan her face. She asks, "So, you're saying that I have to input my real name, contact details, and facial features into some program of unknown origin?"
The young man in red teases, "Exactly. That's the risk you take in your evolution into a modern human being." Rin complains about the inconvenience of biometric scanning: "This facial recognition is such a pain... 'Blink'... Which eye am I supposed to blink? Now it wants me to open my mouth?"
The gray-haired youth explains that this measure protects against bad guys using photos to impersonate users. Mid-sentence, he notices the website they are on.
Rin replies without hesitation: "I didn't look too closely, just clicked it at random. I think it's called... Interastral Peace Credit." The two youths immediately snatch the phone and shout, "Never touch online loans!"
