Halo: Campaign Evolved Launches on Xbox Series, PS5, and PC

Halo: Campaign Evolved launched July 28, 2026 at 8:00 a.m. PDT for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Steam. It entered Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on Xbox and PC at launch.

What the Launch Includes

Campaign Evolved rebuilds the Halo: Combat Evolved campaign with new graphics, audio, and cinematics while retaining Master Chief's journey across the Halo ring. It supports solo play and online cooperative play for up to four players with cross-play across supported platforms.

Console editions also support two-player split-screen. PlayStation and Steam players need to link an Xbox Gamertag for online co-op; that account requirement does not require purchasing an Xbox copy.

The New METEORITE Operation

The release also contains Operation: METEORITE, three new missions featuring Master Chief and Sergeant Avery Johnson. The operation is additional material rather than a replacement for one of the restored campaign chapters.

Free Silver Anniversary cosmetics, including an armor set and Assault Rifle style, are available from July 28. They do not alter the campaign's mission list or weapon statistics.

Platforms and Access

Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC editions arrived together. No Xbox One or PlayStation 4 version has been announced, so those systems are not part of the confirmed platform list.
