Guitar Gigs Across Night City mod brings touring musician life to Cyberpunk 2077
If a single gig with Samurai during the main story of Cyberpunk 2077 wasn't enough to satisfy your rockstar ambitions, a new mod aims to change that. Guitar Gigs Across Night City allows players to tour various venues throughout Night City alongside Johnny Silverhand, turning musical performances into a structured journey.
The mod builds upon the existing animations and interactions from the base game's concert scenes but expands them into a full progression system. Spanning six quests, the mod lets players unlock new venues, attract larger crowds, and earn better rewards as they progress. During some of the more high-profile gigs, Johnny Silverhand will perform alongside the player.
The experience is enhanced with custom cinematics, such as brief conversations between V and Johnny in the bathroom after a show. These scenes appear to utilize repurposed lines from the original game rather than AI-generated dialogue. A standout feature is the ability to add custom MP3 files to the setlist. While the playing animations won't perfectly sync with any song you choose, the mod allows for a personalized musical experience across the city's clubs.
Because it is a script-heavy modification, Guitar Gigs Across Night City requires several essential frameworks to function. Users must have ArchiveXL, AudioXL, Codeware, RED4ext, Redscript, and TweakXL installed. Additionally, the Playable Guitar Weapon - Play Your Songs mod is recommended if players wish to carry their guitar around outside of performances.
