Runes of Aldur League Mechanic
Each area contains a Remnant — an artifact that lets you craft an item using Runic Recipes. Insert rune combinations into the Remnant's slots, choose your item type, and activate it. A group of toughened enemies spawns; defeat them to claim your crafted item.
This mechanic enables targeted itemization from early in the league — a significant departure from RNG-heavy crafting of previous leagues.
The Fortress — New Endgame Hub
After clearing your first tower map, The Fortress emerges — a central hub replacing the previous scattered endgame navigation. All activities, vendors, storage, and access to the new Pinnacle Boss (the 0.5 tier challenge) are centered here.
New Ascendancies
Martial Artist (Monk)
Masters illusions, summons Illusory Bells for support, and excels at using the body as a weapon. Great for players who enjoy blending melee and magical effects.
Spirit Walker (Huntress)
Calls upon animal spirits — Stag, Owl, or Bear — each granting distinct abilities and playstyles. Best for hybrid summoner-attacker builds.
How to Prepare for May 29
- League start: May 29, 1:00 PM PDT
- Stock base crafting materials before the league — Runic Recipes need components
- Focus on campaign progression first; save Remnants for endgame crafting
- The Fortress opens after your first tower map — use that as your crafting trigger
- New Ascendancies require new Trials — budget extra time for that
