GTA 6's PC release date is set for Q1 2027, per a new report

A new report from GamesBeat suggests that Grand Theft Auto 6 will arrive on PC in Q1 2027. The publication cites four industry sources familiar with the studio's plans, all of whom requested anonymity.

If this information is accurate, the PC version of the game will launch within the first three months of 2027. This would mean console players on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S enjoy a window of exclusivity, as the console release is scheduled for November 19. This gap is relatively small compared to previous Rockstar titles; for instance, Red Dead Redemption 2 arrived on PC over a year after its console debut, while GTA 5 saw a nearly two-year delay between platforms.

The push for an earlier PC release might be driven by the potential of GTA 6 Online. Given the massive revenue GTA Online has generated for Rockstar Games, establishing a strong PC player base before the multiplayer launch is a logical move. This aligns with comments from "Twitch" CEO Dan Clancy, who suggested that a significant surge in engagement is expected in 2027 when the multiplayer component arrives.

At this stage, Rockstar Games has not officially confirmed this release window. Meanwhile, the studio is also navigating legal challenges involving the IWGB union regarding the dismissal of 31 Rockstar North employees.
