Gravity Begins Domestic CBT for Ragnarok Online PLUS+
Gravity has officially commenced the domestic closed beta test (CBT) for its upcoming multi-platform title, Ragnarok Online PLUS+. The testing phase is specifically for users in South Korea and will run for eight days, from October 22 to October 29, 2026.
The primary objective of this test is to closely examine core content ahead of the official launch and to ensure service stability across both PC and mobile environments. PC players can access the client via the official website, while mobile users can participate through Google Play or Apple TestFlight.
Ragnarok Online PLUS+ expands the established lore of the original series, introducing a new narrative centered on Sol and Mani—two worlds derived from fragments of Ymir's Heart. While maintaining the core gameplay feel, the title introduces an auto-battle system designed for player convenience. On PC, a dedicated widget function allows players to monitor real-time gameplay at the bottom of the screen even when the game window is minimized during auto-battle.
The project made its public debut at G-STAR 2025 under the tentative title Ragnarok Online Project 1.5. During the event, it garnered significant interest for its parallel world setting, which features a darker and more hostile atmosphere compared to the original game.
Various promotions are scheduled throughout the testing period. Players can claim daily login rewards, and those who participate for all eight days of the CBT will receive a special box at the official launch, allowing them to choose between the highly popular Angel Band or Devil Band. Additional rewards are tied to cumulative playtime, reaching specific levels, and interactive events such as Treasure Hunts and Boss Summons. Furthermore, the official community platform will host contests for screenshots, bug reporting, and strategy guides, with rewards to be distributed via raffle after the game's release.
Lee Hui-soo, Head of the Ragnarok Online PLUS+ Business Team at Gravity, stated that the title is designed to satisfy both longtime fans and new players by expanding the original lore with new elements. She emphasized that the name Ragnarok Online PLUS+ reflects the goal of providing a fresh experience within the series.
