GLOOM + THE CITADEL Returns for One Final Week
The Peak Team has announced that GLOOM + THE CITADEL will remain available exclusively for one more week, allowing players to explore the biome if they missed it previously.
This extended window serves a dual purpose: it offers a final chance for new players to try out the unique environment, while simultaneously giving the development team time to address critical issues in other parts of their game suite. Specifically, the team plans to release much-needed bug fixes for CALDERA and THE KILN during this period.
Beyond stability improvements, there is a possibility that a cool new addition will be introduced alongside these patches. The developers expressed gratitude for the community's patience and confirmed that all biomes, including those from CALDERA and THE KILN, will return to the rotation soon.
The announcement was posted on Steam on August 24, 2026, as part of the ongoing updates for the co-op climbing game. The team also referenced their recent work on "The Final Ascent" and previous patches that nerfed frogs and fixed spawn locations, indicating a continued focus on balancing gameplay and fixing technical errors.
For fans of PEAK, this week represents a brief but significant opportunity to experience the new content before the full rotation resumes. The studio, Aggro Crab, continues to refine their procedural generation adventure, ensuring that every climb up the mysterious island is both challenging and fair.
