Gigabyte plans 540Hz WOLED and 400Hz QD-OLED monitors
Gigabyte is expanding its lineup of high-refresh-rate OLED gaming monitors with a new roadmap that includes four distinct models ranging from 24.5 to 32 inches. The information, sourced from TFTCentral, indicates that Gigabyte has confirmed development on these units, which feature refresh rates reaching up to 540Hz and utilize both Samsung Display's QD-OLED technology and LG Display's WOLED panels.
The most technically significant addition is the MO27Q40, a 27-inch monitor designed for competitive esports. It features a 2560 × 1440 resolution on a Samsung Display Penta Tandem QD-OLED panel with an RGB-stripe subpixel layout, running at a massive 400Hz refresh rate. This model represents the first 27-inch 1440p QD-OLED monitor announced by Gigabyte to use this specific pixel structure.
For ultra-high-speed gaming, the GO25F54G targets the esports market with a 24.5-inch form factor. It utilizes an LG Display Tandem WOLED panel with a 1920 × 1080 resolution and pushes the refresh rate to 540Hz. Mass production for this model is currently planned for mid-November, positioning it to compete directly with other monitors using the same new LG panel.
Gigabyte is also introducing a larger format option with the GO32U18. This 32-inch monitor combines a 4K resolution (3840 × 2160) with an 180Hz refresh rate, utilizing Samsung Display's QD-OLED Edge technology. The company is targeting mass production toward the end of October, with retail availability expected during early Q1 2027.
The GO27Q32 is scheduled to arrive first among the group. It uses a 27-inch 1440p Penta Tandem QD-OLED panel running at 320Hz, featuring 300-nit SDR brightness and a claimed peak of 1300-nits. The model supports DisplayHDR True Black 500 and includes one DisplayPort 1.4 and two HDMI 2.1 ports. Mass production is scheduled for mid-September, with retail availability expected later in Q4.
Regarding the MO27Q40, mass production is currently planned for mid-January 2027. TFTCentral expects more detailed information around CES 2027 and retail availability around March or April. Gigabyte has not yet announced pricing for any of the four models, and specifications or production schedules may still change before official release.
