Gigabyte unveils Aorus Elite FO32U24G: 4K OLED with 480Hz mode
Gigabyte has revealed the full specifications for its upcoming Aorus Elite FO32U24G gaming monitor. This 32-inch display utilizes the latest 4th-gen Tandem WOLED panel technology, offering a unique dual-mode functionality designed for high-speed gaming.
Dual-mode performance and high refresh rates
The standout feature of the Aorus Elite FO32U24G is its ability to switch between two distinct modes. Users can opt for a 4K resolution at a 240Hz refresh rate for high-fidelity visuals, or switch to a 1080p mode to achieve a blistering 480Hz refresh rate. This transition is managed via Tactical Switch 2.0, which allows users to toggle modes using a physical button rather than navigating through on-screen menus.
Regarding color performance, Gigabyte claims the panel covers 99.5% of the DCI-P3 gamut with a Delta E of less than 2, ensuring high color accuracy. The panel is also capable of reaching a peak brightness of 1,500 nits. To improve the experience during variable refresh rate (VRR) usage, the monitor has been optimized to reduce screen flickering by precisely adjusting the VRR range.
Connectivity and hardware features
The monitor's connectivity suite includes a DisplayPort 2.1 socket, two HDMI 2.1 ports (one featuring eARC support for easy connection to soundbars or receivers), and a USB-C port capable of delivering up to 65W of power delivery.
For productivity and multi-device setups, the monitor includes a built-in KVM switch. Notably, Gigabyte has implemented physical buttons for KVM switching, a convenience missing from many competitors. To manage thermal loads, the device incorporates integrated heatpipes to ensure even heat distribution across the panel components.
