Geekom is showcasing the GeekBook X16 Pro with an AMD processor at IFA 2026. The new variant features the Ryzen AI 9 HX 470, a mobile chip built on a 4-nm process with Zen 5 architecture. While the Intel Core Ultra 9 185H version has been available since February, the AMD model is a new addition, though Geekom has not yet confirmed pricing or a release date.

The Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 belongs to the Gorgon Point series and combines four Zen 5 cores with eight Zen 5c cores, supporting 24 threads via Simultaneous Multithreading. A key differentiator for AI workloads is the Neural Processing Unit (NPU), which delivers 55 TOPS (Tera Operations Per Second). Including the CPU and the integrated Radeon 890M graphics, the total platform performance reaches 86 TOPS. By comparison, the Intel Core Ultra 9 185H offers 11 TOPS from its NPU and 35 TOPS in total.

The laptop features a 16-inch IPS display with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels in a 16:10 aspect ratio and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. Specific RAM details for the AMD version are not yet provided, but the Intel model uses 32 GB of soldered LPDDR5X memory that cannot be upgraded. Given the thin design, it is likely the AMD version will follow the same configuration. The unibody chassis is made of magnesium, measuring approximately 7 mm at its thinnest point and between 15 and 17 mm at its thickest, with a weight of around 1.28 kg.

Power is supplied by a 77 Wh battery, which Geekom claims can last up to 17 hours. The device supports 65 W quick charging. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4, but the thin form factor omits an RJ45 LAN port, which can be accessed via USB if needed. The stereo speakers officially support DTS:X Ultra. Based on the current price of the Intel version at 1,249 euros, the AMD model is expected to fall in the low four-digit euro range.
