FOUNTAINS launches on PS5, Xbox Series, and Switch with DLC 'Shattered Shape' on September 17
FOUNTAINS, the Soulslike action RPG from developer John Pywell and publisher Crunching Koalas, is set to launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch on September 17. The console release arrives alongside the first major downloadable content expansion, titled Shattered Shape.
The game previously made its debut on PC via Steam on December 20, 2024. Now, players can experience the title's demanding combat and interconnected world design across multiple platforms.
About the Game: Set in a war-torn empire, FOUNTAINS follows a hooded stranger recently imprisoned by a tyrannical regime. The player must escape and uncover the mysteries of this vast, maze-like dungeon world. The combat is tight and responsive, rewarding precision while punishing hesitation with punishing enemy attacks.
Exploration and Secrets: The game features a seamless, giant dungeon that twists and loops back on itself. Exploration rewards curiosity, as players will always discover new items, powers, and upgrades to unlock further parts of the world. Additionally, an online message system allows players to leave hints or tricks for others.
Shattered Shape DLC: This expansion takes players to the southern Vainlands, a region long forsaken by the One Kingdom. The new content introduces mystical and fearsome foes, including misshapen beings and beasts that prowl the open areas. Players will wield a new arsenal of magical swords, mystical tools, and unique armor sets.
