Forever Skies Launches for Xbox Series X|S Alongside The Final Echoes

Forever Skies is a first-person survival adventure set on Earth after an ecological disaster. Players explore the toxic surface and ruins above the dust layer, expand an airship, gather resources, and search for a way to survive the transformed planet.

The Xbox Series X|S edition supports Xbox Play Anywhere and can be played solo or cooperatively. Xbox identifies it as optimized for Series X|S; Far From Home has not announced an Xbox One edition.

What The Final Echoes Adds

The Final Echoes is a free update and the third installment in the Echoes line. It adds the concluding stretch of that story, new objectives, and the Lighting Tower location. The update also released for PC and PlayStation 5.

The developer also lists custom difficulty as part of the updated game. Players should check the current in-game menu for exact parameters because options depend on the installed build and platform.

The Road to Xbox

Forever Skies entered Steam Early Access on June 22, 2023. Its full PC and PlayStation 5 launch followed on April 14, 2025, with the Xbox Series X|S edition arriving July 27, 2026.

The Final Echoes is not sold as a separate game or new edition. It updates the existing Forever Skies, so owners on other supported platforms do not need the Xbox release to access the new story content.
