End of an Era: Fnatic and G2 Esports Part Ways with Boaster and jawgemo
Major roster changes are hitting the VALORANT scene as two prominent leaders depart their organizations. Fnatic has officially announced they are parting ways with captain Jake "Boaster" Howlett, and G2 Esports has confirmed the exit of Alexander "jawgemo" Mor.
Boaster has been a cornerstone of Fnatic for over six years, leading the team since its inception in the discipline. Joining the club in February 2021 alongside the former SUMN FC roster, Jake "Boaster" Howlett became one of the most iconic captains in professional VALORANT. His tenure included two major international titles—VCT LOCK//IN São Paulo 2023 and Masters Tokyo 2023—alongside three regional trophies and six international grand finals.
The partnership began after a long wait; as early as 2020, the player reportedly declined offers from major organizations to wait for Fnatic's entry into VALORANT. Following the conclusion of First Strike, team manager Colin "CoJo" Johnson initiated contact, leading to a multi-year era of success. After being allowed to explore other opportunities in September 2026, the two sides officially parted ways this November.
Simultaneously, G2 Esports confirmed the departure of Alexander "jawgemo" Mor. The American player spent two seasons with the organization after joining in October 2024 from Evil Geniuses. During his time with G2, jawgemo helped the team secure the VCT 2026: Americas Stage 1 title, achieved a fourth-place finish at VALORANT Champions 2026, and reached the semifinals of Masters Santiago.

Regarding his next move, reports from Sheep Esports suggest that jawgemo may join Team Vitality for the VCT 2027 season, following rumors of a verbal agreement with the squad.
