Martial arts meet fluid platforming in Elta: Defy All Gods, with a free PS5 demo out today
Afterburner Studios has unveiled details for their upcoming action-platformer Elta: Defy All Gods, a title blending high-speed melee combat with exploration. The game is set to launch on February 2, 2027, and a free demo is available for PlayStation 5 users starting today.
The developers describe the game as a "brawlervania," a genre-bending mix of brawler-style combat and metroidvania-style exploration. Players control a warrior named Victus, utilizing three distinct martial arts stances and magic systems to unleash powerful attacks. A key mechanic involves the dragon companion Elta, a millennia-old god that assists with movement and accessing new areas.


The project draws inspiration from classics such as Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and God of War, alongside the aesthetic of shōnen anime like Dragon Ball Z and Hong Kong martial arts cinema.
