Elementa's Silver Palace nominated for Best Mobile Game at Gamescom 2026

Elementa's upcoming mobile title Silver Palace has made a significant splash at Gamescom 2026, securing a spot as a nominee for the 'Best Mobile Game' award. In an exclusive interview with Inven held in Cologne, the development team revealed that they are currently preparing for their final testing phase before the official launch.

The nomination itself was a surprise and a source of great joy for the developers. Silver Palace is competing against established released titles, yet it has qualified based solely on its trailer and a demonstration build. The team views this recognition as a major validation of their efforts to present an unreleased game alongside market leaders.

The primary goal of participating in Gamescom was to meet global users directly and serve as a marketing breakthrough. Throughout the year, Silver Palace has been touring various game shows across Asia and Europe, including a recent booth at Anime NYC 2026 in New York. This high-frequency offline presence is a strategic move to build brand awareness prior to release.

During the Opening Night Live (ONL) event, the team unveiled a new promotional video that received an unexpectedly positive reaction. The footage introduced the game's 'Dark Fairytale' worldview, featuring scenes of investigating bodies covered in silver-white matter and alternating sequences of female detective investigations and combat.

There is a distinct difference in audience reception between Western and Asian gaming events. Gamescom attracts a professional crowd including media and industry professionals who evaluate games critically. In contrast, Asia-focused events like Bilibili World offer more direct and passionate reactions from fans already specialized in the genre.

A key highlight at this year's Gamescom was the inclusion of gun-based combat mechanics in the demo build. This content is being introduced to Western audiences for the first time. The developers noted that while gunplay existed in previous Closed Beta Tests (CBT), it had been significantly refined for this build, resulting in overwhelmingly better feedback.

The team emphasized the value of offline testing compared to online data collection. While online tests focus on player statistics and progression, offline events allow the developers to observe immediate emotional reactions and real-time engagement from the audience. Silver Palace completed its second global test in July, and Gamescom served as a crucial verification step following that period.

The booth setup at Messe Cologne was designed with a distinct European aesthetic to match the game's setting. The exhibition space featured a central stage, an experience zone, a photo-op area, and a merchandise pickup zone. A pumpkin carriage prop from the 'Cinderella Boss Battle' was installed as a centerpiece. Additionally, the team hosted four band live performances, dance routines, and themed runway shows daily.

When asked about their greatest strength in the Western market, the developers pointed directly to the game's art style. From the materials used to the character designs, the unique visual identity formed the foundation of the positive reception. The ONL video, the booth design, and the award nomination all highlight the strong emphasis on visuals and world-building.

The Korean market remains a priority for Elementa. The company has established a legal entity in Korea last August, and pre-registrations globally have surpassed 10 million users this month. Looking ahead, the team plans to expand their marketing scale and continue meeting users at offline events such as domestic game exhibitions.

The developers are also committed to refining the art style based on preferences from Korean users. While a specific release date cannot be confirmed yet, the team is preparing for a final test later this year. The ultimate goal is to deliver an experience of pure joy and entertainment through the game, ensuring that every player can feel the 'element' of happiness.
