Danganronpa 2×2 launches January 14, 2027

The new title features an all-new storyline built on the foundation of Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair. Set on Jabberwock Island, once a popular tourist destination now rendered uninhabited, players are brought there for a school trip by Hope's Peak Academy. The fun ends abruptly as Monokuma returns with his murderous scheme, trapping students in an island of mutual killing where escape rests solely on solving the mysteries.

This latest installment offers the same volume of content as the original, delivering a complete and immersive experience. Notably, it includes the original Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair scenario, adapted to modern platforms with updated visuals and refined presentation. Players can enjoy the thrilling story with beautiful new graphics and quality-of-life improvements.

In the game, you must find the Blackened of the murder case by gathering testimonies and evidence. During the Class Trial where you engage in a debate with your fellow classmates, shoot down your opponent's contradictions with high-speed detective action. The story unfolds in chapters, each divided into three main parts: Daily Life, where you explore Jabberwock Island freely; Investigation, where you examine crime scenes and collect evidence that becomes Truth Bullets; and Class Trial, where you use gathered evidence to find the culprit through nonstop, high-speed debate.

The original setting and cast of characters are back, but a single incident leads to an entirely new set of victims, culprits, and tricks. The new scenario offers a fresh take on the classic formula while maintaining the series' signature intensity.
