CD Projekt RED officially announces Cyberpunk 2 Project Orion, with release not expected before 2028

CD Projekt RED has officially confirmed that the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077, currently known as Project Orion, is in active development. The studio has also made it clear that players should not expect a release before 2028.

The project is being developed in CD Projekt’s Boston office alongside the next Witcher game in Warsaw. Early indications suggest the sequel will remain tied to the Night City setting while expanding its scale and systems.
