Borderlands 4 launches in summer 2026 as Gearbox reveals a new gameplay trailer

Gearbox Software has confirmed that Borderlands 4 is targeting a summer 2026 release and has shown a new extended gameplay trailer.

The sequel appears ready to push the series further toward a more open world structure while retaining four-player co-op and the franchise’s signature loot-heavy combat loop. Several new playable characters with distinct skill trees are also expected at launch.
