CXMT Breaks the 9,000 MT/s Barrier with DDR5 on AMD Platforms

Chinese manufacturer CXMT has surpassed the 9,000 MT/s threshold for DDR5 memory on AMD platforms. Testing was conducted on a Colorful iGame X870E VULCAN W OC motherboard using the iGame Shadow II 24Gx2 48GB kit. The modules achieved an operating frequency of 4,507 MHz, translating to over 9,014 MT/s thanks to DDR technology.

Last year, CXMT announced reaching 8,000 MT/s. This new result confirms that the Chinese manufacturer has not only caught up with but surpassed the performance benchmarks of major global vendors Micron, Samsung, and SK hynix. Additionally, CXMT is working on latency improvements: some kits on ASUS motherboards already demonstrate CL30 at 6,000 MT/s, while tests for CL28 latency are also underway.
