Microsoft has announced a fresh wave of titles arriving on XBOX Game Pass in August 2026. The lineup includes major releases like Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, Vapor World: Over the Mind, and Blood Dungeon. These games will be available to subscribers immediately upon release across Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Cloud Gaming.
The first addition is Egging On, arriving on August 18. This hard-boiled adventure challenges players to survive as a fragile egg, navigating through a farm shop and factory environments. It joins Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
On August 19, two notable titles launch: Vapor World: Over the Mind and BlazBlue Entropy Effect X. The former is a narrative-driven souls-like platformer where a boy descends into a shattered mind to recover lost memories. The latter brings striking 2D visuals and precise combat to the BlazBlue universe, featuring a free major content update for Xbox Series X|S.
Also arriving on August 19 is Relooted, an Africanfuturist heist game where players reclaim artifacts from Western museums. The following day, August 20, brings Starsand Island, a serene pastoral life sim featuring capybaras, fishing, and exploration.
August 25 sees the arrival of Aerial Knight's DropShot and Blood Dungeon. The former is a high-speed stylized FPS racer where you play as Smoke Wallace, using powers gained from a radioactive dragon bite. Blood Dungeon offers 2D platforming survival from the creators of Nidhogg, requiring parkour skills to kite monsters in treacherous dungeons.
On August 27, Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy joins the library. Players follow Sophia's journey to Minotaur's Island, solving puzzles and fighting off an army while facing a terrifying mythological creature. The final major addition is Young Suns, launching on August 31 as a full 1.0 release. This narrative life sim is set after a revolution on Jupiter, allowing players to explore fantastical planetoids with up to three friends.
Rounding out the month, Shelldiver arrives on September 1. This incremental game follows a turtle fishing jellyfish and selling them at their shop, offering equipment upgrades and oceanic exploration.
For those looking to save before titles leave the library, games like Another Crab's Treasure, I Am Your Beast, and The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt - Remastered Edition are departing on August 31. Additionally, NBA 2K26 will leave the service on September 6.
