Coach Hirai: 'Winning Asian Games Gold is an Honor'
South Korea has secured the gold medal in League of Legends at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games. The team dominated the final against Taiwan with a clean 3-0 sweep, clinching their second consecutive gold medal at the event.
This victory follows South Korea's gold medal win at the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games (held in 2023 due to the pandemic), marking a successful title defense. The win took place at the Aichi Sky Expo in Tokoname, Japan.
Following the match, coach Kang Dong-hun (known as Hirai) expressed his pride in the team's performance during the mixed zone interview. Reflecting on the flawless series victory, he stated: "It is truly joyful and an honor. The players worked incredibly hard during practice, and that is why we achieved this result. I am very proud of them."
