Claim the Pouch of Violet Dust: New Twitch Drops for World of Warcraft: Forever
Blizzard Entertainment has announced a special Twitch Drops event to celebrate the launch of World of Warcraft: Forever. Players can earn an exclusive, ephemeral toy called the Pouch of Violet Dust, which provides unique social benefits during campfires in Azeroth.
To celebrate the arrival of World of Warcraft: Forever, Blizzard is introducing the Pouch of Violet Dust, a launch-celebration toy designed to enhance the communal experience of traveling through Azeroth. This item is ephemeral, meaning it is only available for use during the official "WoW: Forever Launch Celebration" event period, which is scheduled to conclude in early December. Once the event ends, the toy will be removed from players' collections and will no longer be accessible in-game.
The Pouch of Violet Dust allows players to change the color of a campfire to purple. Activating the toy extends the duration of all camp benefits by an additional hour, bringing the total duration to two hours. This benefit is shared with all other players resting at the same Camp, fostering a sense of camaraderie among adventurers.
How to Participate and Earn Drops
The Twitch Drops event runs from November 4 at 4:30 pm PST until November 12 at 4:30 pm PST. To qualify, players must watch four hours of eligible World of Warcraft content on Twitch.tv during this window. Progress can be made by watching any eligible channel within the World of Warcraft category; switching between channels will not reset progress, though watching multiple channels simultaneously does not accelerate the process.
Eligibility and Requirements
- Players must link their Battle.net and Twitch accounts via the official Battle.net website or the YouTube Connected Apps page.
- Drops can be earned on PC/Mac web browsers or via the Twitch/YouTube apps on Android and iOS. Note that TV apps (Smart TVs, consoles) do not support drops.
- Rewards must be claimed manually on Twitch via the Drops Inventory or the channel interface. YouTube rewards are delivered automatically if accounts are linked.
- Earned Twitch Drops expire seven days after being claimed if the Battle.net account is not linked.
- The toy is only available in World of Warcraft: Forever and is not available in World of Warcraft Classic or modern World of Warcraft.
- A valid World of Warcraft subscription or game time is required.
The event is available in several regions, including North America, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Japan, Taiwan, Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. Please note that Blizzard reserves the right to modify, pause, or cancel the Twitch Drops event due to technical issues or other unforeseen circumstances.
