BNK Returns to Top: 'Taeyun' Holds POM and Beats Kiwoom
BNK secured a 2-1 victory over Kiwoom DRX in the fourth round of the LCK Rise Group standings, reclaiming first place. The match took place on August 13 at Seoul Grand Seoul Lotte Park Arena.
BNK (9 wins, 14 losses) defeated Kiwoom (7 wins, 16 losses), moving back to the top of the group. While Kiwoom DRX won the first set, BNK took the second and third sets to close out the series 2-1.
The second set was decisive. After losing the first set, BNK achieved a dominant victory in the second. In the third set, Kiwoom started strong, and for the first 13 minutes, the advantage lay with Yukal (Son Woo-hyun) thanks to effective play on Top with the hero Aurora. The team also dominated in fights over the Fire Dragon.
However, in the second half of the match, BNK won key mid-lane skirmishes, allowing them to secure Baron control. After obtaining the Fire Dragon soul, BNK attacked the opponent's base and ended the game.
In this match, 'Taeyun' (Kim Tae-yoon) from BNK was again awarded POM. She secured second place in the rankings with 900 points, putting pressure on the leader of Jengi Esports, 'Chobi' (Jeong Ji-hoon).
