Blizzard announces World of Warcraft: Forever stress test
Blizzard Entertainment has confirmed an upcoming stress test for World of Warcraft: Forever. The event is set to take place on October 21, allowing players to help test the server capacity.
The stress test is designed to be highly accessible: no subscription, Game Time, or specific beta access is required to participate. Blizzard is encouraging players, guilds, and friends to join in to help push the servers to their limits.
The testing window will occur at the following local times:
• North America: 2:00 p.m. PDT;
• Europe: 19:00 CEST;
• Korea: 06:00 KST (October 22);
• Taiwan: 05:00 CST (October 22).
The beta servers will be taken offline shortly before the test begins and are expected to return once the event concludes. However, the duration of the window may vary depending on technical requirements. Following the stress test, all created characters, names, and guilds will be wiped to prepare for the upcoming Name Reservations phase.
Name Reservations are scheduled to begin on October 27. Players who have pre-purchased the Skyborne Heroic Pack, Skyborne Epic Pack, or the limited-time Warcraft Forever Collection will benefit from Early Name Reservation from October 27 through November 3. Please note that names will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, and specific names cannot be guaranteed.
