Ball x Pit’s Final Free Update Arrives August 6
Kenny Sun & Friends will release Ball x Pit’s final free content update, The Naturalist Update, on August 6, 2026. The studio has confirmed two unlockable characters, 11 new balls, and five passive items.
What The Naturalist Update Adds
The Ballbearer doubles the number of ball slots but gives up passive items entirely. The Hoary Hoarder takes the opposite approach: only two ball slots remain, while the number of passive slots doubles. These restrictions alter how a build is assembled instead of merely increasing its statistics.
Revealed balls include Lightning Bug, Mosquito Kingdom, Drill, Flesh, and Armageddon. The disclosed passive items include Platinum Dumbbell, Inglorious Hammer, and Remote Detonator. The developer says this is not the complete update list. The PlayStation 5 version receives the patch on August 6, and the developer’s announcement describes it as the final free content update.
